Net House & Screen

The Net House is a structure consisting of galvanised hollow sections, steel wire and strand and covered with mesh metal. It can be adapted to any kind of ground and shape to get a high profit rate. It is suitable for dry regions and can include zenithal ventilation.

The screens installed by OurTechnology allow a proper control of the light, temperature and humidity which signifies a considerable improvement in climate control. These screens, being moveable, can be opened and closed at will, depending on the outside weather conditions and the needs of the crops. They can be installed in any type of greenhouse and in any climate.

The thermal screens are fabrics formed by a combination of polyester textiles that include a fine layer of aluminium interwoven with absorbent acrylic string. They balance the ambient temperature of the greenhouses and maintain the best levels for the crops. The system makes use of solar energy to retain heat in the coldest seasons. This signifies a substantial saving in energy.

Types of thermal screen:

  • Indoor screens: for greenhouses, although they can also be used in farms, public enclosures (exhibition halls, restaurants, terraces, etc.). Open, closed or wind-up.
  • Outdoor screens: for crops that require aeration and that have to be protected from adverse weather conditions. They are also useful for sports stadiums, swimming pools, etc. Open, closed or wind-up.
  • Photoperiod screens: for roofs and sides.
  • Roof screens opening to 90%: they allow greenhouse and outdoor conditions to be alternated at will.

The advantages of using thermal screen facilities:

  • Humidity control.
  • Luminosity control.
  • Temperature control.
  • Heating fuel savings.
  • More control and less expense in watering.
  • Control and reduction in cryptogamic diseases, sports enclosures (soccer fields, tennis courts, swimming pools, etc.).

Energy saving screens:

They are transparent screens designed to retain the maximum amount of heat with minimum light loss. They are ideal for the production of vegetable crops in colder climates.

Energy saving and solar reflection screens:

They are screens that offer a determined shade level according to the model, since they reflect the solar energy not wanted for the crop outwards. When closed at night these screens retain the heat. The greater the aluminium content, the greater is the shade created and the energy saving is higher.

Shade screens:

Indoor shade screens: they are screens that consist of polyester film ribbon, aluminium strips and filaments for securing to the structure. The aluminium strips reflect more than 90% of the solar radiation. The number of aluminium strips determines the effectiveness of the shade and the ventilation capacity of the screen since the hot air flows through the aluminium bands. With the shade screens it is possible to reduce radiation and high temperatures during the day. At night, they reflect the long-wave radiation of the plants inwards.

Outdoor shade screens: they are screens to protect the plants against the direct occurrence of conditions such as high solar radiation, wind, hail and heavy rain. The outdoor shade systems can be installed in fixed or retracting mode. The retracting models provide a moveable shade. – These screens are reinforced with a strong plastic wire that secures them to the system.
